Overview

The Black Conroy project is one of many decommissioning programs we’ve completed for Tourmaline, a strategic asset-retirement partner since 2020. Tasks included removing fluids from tankage and vessels on site, pigging and purging pipeline systems, deactivating wellsite infrastructure left in varying states prior to demolition, and disposing of all surface infrastructure and removing piles from the sites.

Key results

  • Efficient coordination with external vendors and Tourmaline personnel to deliver the scope of work.
  • Supervision of a small, efficient crew over 6,000 hours and 49 days without incident.
  • Removal of over 800 pilings with minimal ground disturbance.

To perform the work, Resolve deployed primarily company-owned heavy equipment — including a 300-series excavator with shear, tri-drive combo unit, powerhead attachment, skid steer for internal pipe cutting, demo trailers, and crew trucks with pickers. Consistent communication with the client and the Resolve team kept all parties up to date.
